Just a very quick post for tonight. I’ve been messing around with SAI’s blending features, and I’m frankly surprised at what I was able to accomplish. There seems to be an illusion on depth, but that might just be me.
It’s really time-intensive though, as I’ve been pretty much forced to work on each little section one at a time (as one might have noticed, even in the pic above many sections are left unshaded) just to get that right kind of layered effect, and even then it’s not always successful. Still, it’s an improvement over my usual style, though I’m not sure if I can do this for all of my works from this point on.
Mmph, there’s also the issue of getting the right background too. Ah, complications over complications.
That said, this little development has made me even more eager to continue, though whether or not I actually finish it within the week is another matter entirely.
