Job Ratings and Stiff Lips

June 15, 2011

It was audit day at work, and while I was happy that I was given an hour off from the phones for the little meeting I had with quality assurance, the actual content of the meeting wasn’t so cheery.  For one, my quality scores were lower than usual (if you can call a 97% ‘low’), but that wasn’t what was worrying the QA assigned to the team.  No, it was the fact that the quality scores of the team as a whole seemed to be going on a downward trend for the month… Which obviously shouldn’t be so, since all of us were ‘tenured’ (the irony of having a tenured part-timer!) agents.

Obviously the QA in question isn’t aware of the complacency that comes with surviving to so-called tenureship.

Anyway, this just means that, at least until the team’s scores improve, we’ll be monitored more closely by our assigned QA, which doesn’t really bode well for our mid-day calls.  Mmph, and to think I thought I could start relaxing already.  At least he hasn’t started monitoring the customer service calls we’ve been receiving yet, or else that score might plummet even further.  I mean, given the fact that nearly 90% of the CC calls we receive are either unhappy people or people who are about to become unhappy, well, one would understand why anyone in the team might not be in the proper state of mind to give a ’100% sparkling!’ kind of call.

Oh well, it’s one more thing to keep in mind from now on I guess.

On a related note… Apparently some of the items redeemed from the Commendation Points fiasco have started arriving.  My seatmate for example just received the ipod nano-come-wrist watch she ordered, which means that there may be still hope for some of the stuff the rest of us ordered.  Maybe it was too late to put a stop on the deliveries?  Who knows.  As far as I’m concerned, if I somehow get that home theater suite I redeemed from the (ahaha) illegal points given to me by my teammates, I won’t complain for the next month or so.  I mean, it’s still listed as an order placed after all, and not a ‘cancel’, so…

As for none-work stuff… I spent the afternoon repeating the Glint’s Challenge mission, and pretty much blew through half my platinum reserves to buy the skills for a team build that I can mostly leave alone, while I do more important stuff like reading for my class this Saturday.  The end result is a crazy 7-hero group, with 3 Mesmers (Norgu, Gwen, Razah using Keystone Signet), 3 Necromancers (Master of Whispers, Olias, and Livia with a mix of Pain of Disenchantment/Secondaries), and Xandra as a general Signet of Souls spammer.

Didn’t I mention mostly leave alone?  Well apparently the team doesn’t quite do well with the second and fourth waves of Destroyers (which are the melee Destroyers), so I have to step in then.  Aside from that though it worked like a charm, and I pretty much completed all of the Brotherhood Armor skins for the Eye of the North heroes.  Not bad really, but as I mentioned it was as costly as heck.  This pretty much means I’m going to have to redo the Rise mission to recoup the cash I used.  Tsk.

Well I suppose it could have been worse. I could have been stuck doing all those Vabbi quests for hours on end.  Yeah, I’d rather just fight White Mantle with Keiran, thanks.

Gosh, such a busy day, yet technically I did nothing with it.
