Thankfully Unresolved

July 5, 2012

So it’s the end of the week, and my system’s situation hasn’t been fixed.  I knew this immediately when I saw that the guy I shared the system profile with was basically just sitting around and talking with the other members of our team present instead of, you know, taking in calls like they were.  Oh well.  Oddly enough, workforce didn’t order me to go home, and again wanted me to stick around for the whole shift, despite the fact that, you know, since I still didn’t have a system it meant that I couldn’t even take in calls.  Silly folk.

Since they had me stay, I tried to make the most of the situation.  Luckily enough the computer I used the other day (with its unrestricted proxy access) was unlocked, so I plunked myself down again at that particular workstation, and spent the rest of the day browsing the net essentially free.

With nothing to do but browse the net for topics of interest, the day past really slow, and it came to a point that I had to alternate browsing with… naps.  Yeah, a slacker’s dream come true, but I couldn’t quite fall asleep even with all the pillows and the computer chairs positioned in the most optimum and comfortable (well, for an adjustable pair of chairs anyway) position possible.  I just kept on waking up after a particularly loud snore.  Mmph.

I was afraid it would be still raining once I got off work, but, much like the early morning I started the day with it was very dry (if a bit overcast).  It only started to rain after I started back home from my usual visit to the gym, and even then it wasn’t strong enough to soak me, despite the fact that wasn’t even walking as briskly as I usually did.

Nothing else to say about my day today, aside from that.
