I was expecting a good chunk of my pay today to be immediately deducted, but I wasn’t expecting it to happen so quickly. To be specific, the delivery of the 6th Edition Warhammer 40000 rulebook arrived barely minutes after I woke up. Needless to say, I was caught flatfooted, especially since I hadn’t gone out and withdrawn my salary from the nearby ATM yet. Luckily tatay bailed me out, and stiffed the nearly three-thousand peso charge, which means it’s another thing I owe him.
I’ll have to pay him back somehow, but not right now, not with all those bills that I have to pay, starting with the credit card on Monday. I’m obviously not going to be able to pay it in one go, so I’ll have to do it bit by bit. Hmm, if I pay off two thousand pesos every payday, I think I’d be able to pay it off in… two months?
Ugh. That’s going to dig into my savings efforts, for sure. I really have to wonder how long that six-thousand nine hundred will last this time around. It’s been some time since my savings broke the ten-thousand peso mark, and it looks like it’s not going to be able to do so this month… Or the month after that.
Anyway, after a slight detour to the nearby bookstore to buy some plastic to cover my newest acquisition with, I spent a good chunk of the afternoon going over its contents. The book is… thick, to say the least, much thicker than the previous edition’s rulebook. I think I’m going to have to go over the rules section a few times to even understand some of the mechanics introduced by the new edition, and even then I’d still need to play a few games to get a better feel for the changes.
I was able to drop by the gym again this afternoon, and did a full hour’s worth on the fitness machines this time.
Nothing else to really mention today, aside from the fact that it’s raining hard again in our area tonight. On the plus side, it’s going to be a nice cool night again, but after what happened over the week, I’d rather that it not continue into the morning. We’ll just have to see though.
