Although I was able to get to work relatively early, I didn’t enjoy my stay at the office that much. It being a Sunday aside (which meant an initial torrent of calls as the rest of my teammates haven’t arrived yet), I had a hard time staying at my station. Suffice to say I’ve been having… bowel issues (one of the main reasons why I was up so early), and it’s hard to hold it in when you spend almost ninety percent of your work day seated. What’s worse about it was the fact that I kept on discharging liquid, which really points to me eating something disagreeable to my stomach the night before. Must have been that day-old roast chicken…
It’s no wonder I felt noticeably empty once lunch time rolled in, but felt much better after eating something (for the curious, pares and rice). Filling lunch aside, I pretty much tuned out once I got home. I didn’t even have time to check my email, since my brain seemed to have been desperate to shut down. I did catch that my father was, once again, gone from the house, this time gone home to his hometown in Ormoc. He’s really taking advantage of the off-season discounts for flights these days, but I suppose it’s just as well. Outside of Christmas vacations, he hasn’t really been able to go visit his hometown, particularly grandmother’s grave…
Speaking of off-season flights, I found it funny how, after receiving his most recent credit card bill, he was thinking of having it discontinued because of the annual cost. I pointed out to him that if he did that, then there would be no way for him to pay for those plane tickets he usually buys for his trips, as he normally reserves them online (which means online payment as well). I also pointed out that there’s no way in heck that I’m letting him use my card, since despite its high limit.
Needless to say, it nearly sparked one of our usual arguments about nothing, but thankfully he saw the sense (for a change) in my argument.
Anyway, on to other things. While at work we noticed that it was looking a little dark on the horizon, which meant that it looked like it was going to rain. However when I got out of work it seemed like your typical hot city day. It stayed that way until I got home, at which point I was forced once again to turn on my room’s A/C to help sleep… which is when it obviously started pouring like your typical typhoon. What is there to say, except the rain came loud, and it came hard. Yeesh.
Thankfully it seemed to have stopped by the time I woke up, which was good, since my sister and I decided to watch the latest Transformers movie.
What is there to even say about it? My advice, much like the one given to me by a friend, is to turn your mind off and enjoy the computer-generated hunks of metal wail at each other. Looking for solid plot and human drama? Pft, you’re watching the wrong movie.
And that’s pretty much what I have to say about my day. Well, aside from my disappointment that we’re really not going to get another season of The World God Only Knows… Which makes those cameos at the end so painful. I really don’t care much about Minami, but given the roles Tenri and Tsukiyo have later, well…
