Weekend, And Cheese

I passed on the team’s planned teambuilding affair today.  Wasn’t really in the mood, really.

I did look forward to getting home after work however, as I had purchased a small wheel of Gouda cheese the prior evening at SM.  It was enough that I shelled out thirty pesos for pan de sal, and after I arrived at the house (as soon as I got changed and put everything that needed to be washed that weekend in the laundry hamper that is) I availed myself of a slice.  Was not disappointed at all, though I found that the cheese was more than a little pliant — the result of sitting in my locker for the duration of my shift, I suppose.

In the end, I had to put the cheese in the chiller after I’d had my fill of bread, to keep it from softening further.

That aside, not really much going on this weekend.  I stayed up for a bit after getting to the house, but the moment my sister came into my room asking me to turn on the a/c (at around ten or so in the morning), I figured it was time for me to go to bed and rest as well.

I woke up during the later afternoon, and though I didn’t leave immediately, I did eventually go out at around six in the evening (after I’d bathed and got changed, of course). The order of business was to find out the price of planking and shelf racks, as well as room-temperature thermometers.  I wasn’t disappointed, but I had to stop myself when I saw the prices involved.  Ugh.  Can’t really shell out money right now, especially with the first payment of my insurance premium on the horizon.  Talk about tight.

Oh well, at least I’ve paid off my credit card bills, so that’s something I won’t have to worry about.
