While my sister’s birthday is actually during the week, the family decided to eat out in celebration, so it was off to Cabalen over at Trinoma for lunch. It was supposed to be at Yaki-Mix, but after an hour and a half of waiting for our turn, my brother-in-law decided to look for some other place instead, which is why we ended up at Cabalen’s buffet. Not that it mattered, as we were stuffed by the end of it.
When we parted ways — with me and father heading back home, while my sister went with the baby and her husband’s family back to Quezon City — I actually lost sight of the old coot, and as a result we arrived at the house at different times.
Nothing much of note after that, aside from the fact that it rained during the late afternoon again. While it persisted into mid-evening, I’m not sure if it’ll be enough to chase away the heat that’s been lingering in our area throughout the day.
Tomorrow’s a holiday for me, due to it being Labor Day in the US, though I’m still not quite sure what to do. Probably sleep for most of it, I guess.
